“I, Tonya” is an enjoyable and charming biopic of famous ice skater Tonya Harding. Highlights of the film are the outstanding performances of Margot Robbie, Sebastian Stan, and Allison Janney, the great camerawork, and the soundtrack. The comedic and lighthearted tone of the film is entertaining most of the time but not always fitting, in my opinion. Especially that many incidents of child abuse are played for laughs disturbed me a bit. I also find the second half a bit dragging. Well, and overall, I am not a big fan of ice skating, but this is of course not the fault of the movie. I also know nothing about the real Tonya Harding and the incident that ended her career, so I can't say how accurate the film is. The movie depicts Harding as a victim, who wasn't directly involved in the attack on Nancy Kerrigan. If this is true, I don't know. In any case, “I, Tonya” is 2 hours good entertainment and comes recommended.

P.S. Fully grown Margot Robbie playing a 15-year-old girl is ridiculous, cringeworthy, and definitely too much for my suspension of disbelief. Especially after seeing Mckenna Grace (great as always) as the 9-12-year-old Tonya. I know puberty hits some people harder than others but come on.
