I liked the world building in this, from the retrofuturist cottagecore over world to the psychedelic colorful creatures of the under world. Script had way too many moments of telling instead of showing which has been an issue I’ve had with a lot of Disney Company (including Marvel, etc.) movies in the last couple years. idk i feel like they were masters of show-don’t-tell for decades and they’ve been failing recently idk (there’s a few exceptions though).
Loved Jaboukie Young-White…
First third-ish jumps around too much and gave me a headache but the rest of it is good. Characters are memorable (Cassian Andor and Orson Krennic have been favorites of mine since this came out). The Scarif battle is gripping and my favorite action scene in the entire Star Wars franchise and so beautiful in IMAX.
ending still made me cry 😔
This has the best opening Universal logo this side of Scott Pilgrim.
aaaaaaaAAAA I wasn’t into the first one, so I didn’t plan on seeing this, but this was a free showing, so I went and ASDGJDKRNENEKOSNSJDJD WHY IS THIS SO GOOD
The sadder moments hit hard, and the comedy hits harder. My eyes welled up when [SPOILER] appeared, and at every subsequent scene with that character afterwards. And then the comedy!!!! I laughed so much!!! Maybe I’m just easily sold with any comedy, but ahahahaha I had so much fun.
I’m so happy right now wtf
