fuck it. this is great. this is perfect.
There are so many shots that are expertly composed. Light and dark contrast and mix both in the story and in the images. John Williams’s score elevates this to heights that would not be reached any other way. Rey and Kylo Ren’s team up in the throne room and subsequent attempts at persuading each other could easily be a climax by itself, but then we get added bonuses of the battle on Crait giving us red flaring up on white, and Luke facing Kylo.
