Sean’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is what you get for fucking around with Yakuzas!
Watching Kill Bill is like watching a drum solo where the drummer throws everything they have at you, executed with absolute technical perfection, just to pull yet another dazzling trick out of the bag. Much of the showdown plays out like a drum solo too, steadily building to a crescendo, and packed with tons of flare. The technical display is what makes this film iconic, along with the aesthetic design. Not to undercut Uma Thurman's performance, she owns the role and deserves as much credit as Tarantino for the success of the film.
Tarantino at his best.
