I was really enjoying this as an exploration of grief and portrayal of family, but then it goes off the rail and flips all that on its head, deciding to focus on the supernatural aspect instead. A shame that a movie that starts off so well concludes with an ending that is literally laughable in its absurdity, but what can you do. I was not expecting Charlie to die so early in the film, but I think it’s safe to say that everything went downhill from there.
