A year ago, I watched a film called The King. The only thing I remembered from that movie was Robert Pattinson doing a batshit accent just like this film.
With all jokes aside, outside of the great performances and the beautiful production design and cinematography, The Devil All the Time isn't as good I thought it would be. Story wise, it's pretty sloppy. Besides Holland's character, there's not much of character development. There are scenes that are tacked on just because and it's way overlong than it needed to be. I don't mind bleak nihilism as long as they got something worthy to say (i.e There Will Be Blood and No Country For Old Men) but there isn't much here. It's a mixed bag overall. I want to rewatch this and give it another shot but I don't think I will.
