Despite some pretty big plotholes that were brought to my attention this, my third time seeing this, I still enjoyed the overall experience of the film. It occurs to me that, while also working as a taut thriller, the film also works as a sly, satiric look at commitment in general. I think the ending supports that notion and, if you look at it that way, you can forgive some of the gaping holes in the story pertaining to the police investigation and whatnot.
I also saw this with my girlfriend. I hope she doesn't get any ideas......
