Timothy Hudson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Picked up the Harry Potter series in UHD/4K over the Prime Day sale (none among us are guiltless) and organized a day around rewatching the first two films. It occurred to me as soon as it started this one, barring a few channel-surfing moments, that I’d really only ever seen it twice. It’s... not as bad as I remember it, but it’s also a complete wonder it works as well as it does.
If you’re wondering: the rescanning and HDR processing is fairly smooth and didn’t lead to anything grossly exaggerated. It’s a tasteful conversion/transfer, and outside of resolution the benefits are wholly on the end of film grain (shocking strong in parts) and scenes heavy in contrast.
