The trailers are so cheesy and gleeful that I actually want the movie to not succeed
Y'know? It's okay.
The first two acts of the movie were great, with a few noticeable flaws. But when it finally gets to the third act it falls tremendously. It becomes throughly predictable and generic, which is a shame due to the fact that the rest of the movie is almost excellent.
Some scenes in the film are a little random and unfitting (that heffalump scene wut), but still fairly impressive.
I credit the film for not getting to the point where it becomes sappy and emotionally manipulative. You'd think you see more of that
Before watching the film, I really expected to enjoy the film more than I actually did.
"The best science fiction film since 2001!" They would say.
"Better than Stalker." The blind would declare.
"It's fine..." I responded
It's not that I didn't enjoy Annihilation, I most certainly did, but it's full of noticeable cliches and strange scenes of grandeur.
First off, the characters in the film are lacking and generic. For a film of this reputation, the characters come across…
Above Average in a technical aspect
Great acting from Sally Hawkins
Side Character's Arc is left to waiste, misused
Incredible Directing from Guilmero Del Toro
