This was really charming and overall I did enjoy it! To be honest, I went into the movie with the lowest expectations possible because I did not know if I would like it. The story is a bit predictable but it’s fun and the setting and costume design is brilliant. Sam Claflin never fails to amaze me, his character in this film reminded me of his role in Peaky Blinders. Both Millie Bobbie Brown and Louis Partridge pulled off their characters very well, can’t wait to see more of their work in the future.
I’m a huge fan of the Sherlock BBC TV series but this movie isn’t anything like it. It’s more of a Sherlock Holmes spin off and although nobody will ever top Benedict Cumberbatch’s performance as Sherlock, Henry Cavill does a pretty good job.
