I did not find this enjoyable at all as it is one of those films that capture the rough side of the characters’ lives. It can be slow as the whole plot revolves around a religious family, its story and how their lives are affected by a series of events (most of them traumatising, to say the least).
Apart from this, the cast was great. Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgård and Tom Holland delivered amazing performances and the acting is pretty much what carries the film.
It shows how devotion can turn into obsession and how manipulative religion can be.
