The Raid duology Mission Impossibles 4-6 and the John Wick films are in competition for my favourite action films released within my lifetime. I think this is the best of all of those aside from maybe Fallout for the way it combines the back-to-basics approach of the first film whilst keeping the expanded scope from the sequels while also dialling back a bit on this slightly overwrought lore.
Now if you will excuse me I’m still picking my jaw up off the floor after witnessing the  sheer majesty of the Paris and Tokyo set pieces for the first time. Incredible doesn’t even begin to describe it.
