Class Action Park 2020
An interesting documentary - not necessarily for the documentary’s sake but for it’s subject matter. In other words, a pretty average documentary about a really interesting subject.

Dog 2022
The advertisements really didn’t do this film justice. It’s less of a dog buddy road trip film and more of a character piece on PTSD and it’s effect on some soldier’s lives. It’s a little clunky and meanders from time to time but overall it’s a solid little film that I enjoyed watching but will likely forget about in a few weeks.

The Dead Zone 1983
I had forgotten most of this movie and mixed it up with Stir of Echoes in my memories. It’s fine. Moments of this are good, but it’s a little slow in parts. Not a favorite of Cronenberg’s but far from a bad film.

Scream 2022
I was worried this would suck for a couple reasons: 1) Wes Craven wasn’t behind it (for obvious reasons). 2) it was dumped in the dead zone month where 99% of horror films released in January suck. 3) It’s the 5th film in the franchise.
But it manages to beat the odds and what we have is a fun and clever installment that’s quite possibly the best sequel in the franchise. Almost reaching levels of the first, but not quite hitting the mark. Several fun surprises throughout. I hope they continue the franchise. It’d be cool to see more with this new group.
