Tom Bolton’s review published on Letterboxd:
I do not think there is a single way this film could be better.
It hits me on a very personal level, lady birds relationship with her mother feels very much like the one I have with my mother, that thing about I know you love me but do you like me hits home rather painfully in a way that makes me second guess everything I do. I simultaneously love Christine, but I also hate her, I hate the things in her that I see that remind me of me and that is why this film is so powerful.
