Kodiak’s review published on Letterboxd:
Obviously it doesn’t touch the original, but for what it is and from when it is, it’s pretty damn good. The dances are entrancing and engrossing, and (most of) the characters are interesting. There’s some embarrassing CGI near the end, but I guess that’s just unavoidable nowadays, as exasperating as it is. The climax is a crimson nightmare followed by an underwhelming epilogue, and it runs quite a bit past its welcome after said climax, but it was a fun ride overall. If you like witches and/or dancing, I would certainly recommend this. If you’re not an artsy person, you may want to steer clear. Also, if you don’t like reading subtitles, you’re going to have a bad time because it’s about 50% German dialogue.
