A Christ narrative on acid. Donnie Darko is a weird, emotionally disturbed superhero who sacrifices himself to save the people he loves, only after learning how to love them. Also he stops taking bullshit, telling teachers to shove things up their ass and calling motivational speakers the anti christ, he’s living every high schoolers dream. This film was so much funnier then I remembered and still has such heart.
