“I didn’t think we had secrets.” - Beth
The Night House on the surface is about grief, fresh starts and second chances. Rebecca Hall gives a reeling performance as she uncovers truths about her late husband’s past, while she senses a presence lurking. The revelations are given in small doses, until an overpowering set of sequences payoff by the final act. Hard to predict where the story is heading from the get go, and that’s what makes the story so unsettlingly good.
