The Protégé is a Maggie Q showcase for how badass she looks on camera. Been a fan since her Nikita days, and she doesn’t look like she’s aged a day since then. Not entirely a revenge film, not entirely a romance film either, it’s the chemistry however between Michael Keaton and Maggie Q that drives the film. I couldn’t help but notice a few film gaffes here and there, especially Michael Keaton’s stunt double, who happens to have a completely different skin tone and hair style to him, this had me giggling. The film is cookie-cutter fun yet forgettable.
