Aidan Fealy’s review published on Letterboxd:
'Midsommar' would benefit from a disassociation from its A24 horror predecessors. Obviously it shares sufficient connective tissue to the similarly dark family tree, i.e. 'Hereditary', 'The Witch', 'Blackcoat's Daughter', et al - but I think it deserves enough distance from the aforementioned to be respected for the slow-burn nature that separates it.
