This is all well and good, but if we didn't have a preexisting Tom Holland Spider-Man point of reference, I don't think 'Far from Home' would stand well on its own. Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom do a fantastic job of propping up an otherwise weak-willed and oft hollow script.

The visuals and fight choreography did their part too, but still. I don't think this one is going to age all that well.
