Before Midnight

Before Midnight ★★★★½

This was a little too real for my four-month newlywed self. The lines on their faces, the fights with words that I think I've said and heard verbatim, the facial expressions I've seen on the faces of my parents who have been married 30 years, the hope, the softness and harshness and comedy and sadness and reality of life. And as cruel as it occasionally was, it was pretty beautiful too. The realism of this film is exceptional, and I feel happy to have experienced this beautiful trilogy.
