(Arrow Video Blu-ray)
“A Mexican master (Alexandro Jodorowsky) leads a Christ figure (Horacio Salinas) and other disciples to a mountain of immortal wise men.”
I’ve come to the 3rd film from this glorious Alejandro Jodorowskys boxset from Arrow Video but this maybe the most bonkers, desturbing, weird film I’ve seen but it’s better than previous 2 films interms of plot and characters. The cinematography is brilliant and there’s loads of props which is fantastic. The locations are glorious to look at also.
What I’ve noticed with these films from Alejandro is there’s loads of nudity and sexual acts which can be uncomfortable for most people but it didn’t put me off.
Interms of characters this film is the best abs we’re introduced to some interesting characters but yet bonkers ones.
Alejandro Jodorowsky, Horacio Salinas & Zamira Saunders all star in this film and there’s no weak links. Everyone does well in their roles and it’s good to see Jodorowsky star in his own films.
The soundtrack is excellent and fits in well with most of the scenes. Don Cherry has done a fantastic job composing the soundtrack for this film and luckily I’ve got the soundtrack on Cd which came with the boxset 👍🏻.
