Trace Thurman’s review published on Letterboxd:
Still perfect. Still the best of the franchise (even if nothing in this film can match the brilliance of the opening scene of the original). Also: the rare 2-hour horror film that justifies nearly every minute of its runtime. Highlights:
- TONS of character development. Sid's arc is great. The Dewey/Gale stuff is cute.
-SMG sequence in the house.
-A/V room chase with Gale.
-Police car sequence.
-The 25-minute long(!) finale.
SCREAM 2 is a perfect slasher. Fight me.
