After a much needed rewatch, I can safely say that this is easily one of my favourites from Coppola. Such an utterly fantastic film that has so much to say about growing up, legacy etc. The film has such a unique atmosphere to it and even 36 years later doesn’t feel at all dated whatsoever.
If you haven’t seen this one yet, it’s without a doubt worth a watch. Rourke, Dillon and the rest of the cast carry this film from beginning to end and it makes for some really intriguing viewing throughout. Definitely worth a watch. Truly brilliant.
