Damn. This was so beautiful. You can tell this was straight from Pawlikowski's heart - both being about his people in a horrific time of the past and heavily inspired by the story of his parents. Automatically, the music aspect connected with me on a personal level, and it was so refreshing to hear talented musicians in a film that's so raw like this. Not mention, that black-and-white 35mm cinematography by Łukasz Żal is gorgeous.
Really liked this a lot.
