    Shock Corridor

A provocative and stylish noir inspired film that uses some jarring editing techniques (cutting abruptly, switching to color from B&W) and yet it serves the lurid story. The lighting keying in on the brooding silhouettes added that needed eeriness in the mental hospital setting. The story was mysterious throughout and worked up to a thrilling conclusion. Great find from back in the day.

This film is made for my type of dry humor. Can't believe it almost took me 25 years to see one of the funniest movies of all time.

One of those films that lives up to the vast acclaim laid upon it. The cinematography is possibly the best I've ever seen from a movie, and the setting made me believe this was actually filmed in Vietnam in the 60's. The scene at the end with Brando is one that will be in my mind for a while. Acting across the board is superb, and overall it showcases how film can be considered art.
