Not so sure this should be in my “So bad It’s Good” folder, but certainly a strange low budget movie…part film noir, part slapstick comedy, part avant-garde, part “Delicatessen” surrealism, manic and goofy. We unfortunately don’t get any classic Coen Brothers or Raimi tropes that would come later in their respective careers.
Not boring, almost entertaining. More fun to see early obscure crappy stuff from directors that would later create my fave cinematic experiences.
Note: Bruce Campbell a wonderful freak. Thank God there’s someone unique and eccentric like him in our cinematic universe. Supposedly Raimi wanted him to be the lead but the Coens put the kabash on it. Would’ve been better.
