Incessant duel to the death for 100 min. Ridley Scott blind spot for me. Hard to find this flick. Surprised since this has a well known cast.
Not sure about casting Keitel in anything but an American bad ass New Yorker, but shitty foreign accents aside, he is a presence. Amazing cinematic landscapes, full blown symphonic score, great performances. Sometimes these fictional docudramas put in real historical times are a bore fest, this not so much. First, it’s not 3 hours long, second, performances are outstanding and of course…Ridley Scott. Final duel sequence slightly anticlimactic. Watchable but not epic.
Note: Finney unrecognizable at first.
