Addison’s review published on Letterboxd:
the type of thriller that could’ve easily devolved to “rich man bad” but Burning captures so much more than that.
not only does capitalism create sinister, playful characters like Ben, but it instills these toxic fears & anxieties into Hae-mi and Jong-su—as well as any other character held prison by financial circumstance—that completely alter their perception of the world and of other people. once again, the stories of the lower class are shrouded under the looming stories of the rich.
