Even Anderson's finest-crafted film cannot avoid the one minor pitfall of anthology films: that the first segment so clearly blows the later ones out of the water.
Still, hands-down the best film I've seen all year. Honestly unfair to even have that conversation when Anderson, Scorsese, or Coen(s) throw their hat into the ring. We'll see how Macbeth stacks up!
But this subtle rumination on the power of the written word and art to convey life may haunt me yet.
