Fridging his wife simply made me yawn. There's really no excuse for its use in 2018. Do better!
The tragically disabled to magically able bodied trope made me roll my eyes. The ableist slurs had me verbally chastising the film. Lucy covered this well in her excellent review: letterboxd.com/deathproof/film/upgrade/
The message by the end was terribly muddled. Not sure what I'm supposed to be left thinking ???
All that aside; I enjoyed it a lot. Great lighting, camera work and Logan Marshall Green face on my screen. Stem was also a delight.
I actually hope we get a sequel. And a return of the awesome non-binary tech who stole the few scenes they were in.
