Matthew N’s review published on Letterboxd:
Up there with The Wolf of Wall Street and Game Night as one of the most refreshing comedies of last few years. It’s consistently hilarious and entertaining, and proof that self aware, clever humour can prevail in the mainstream without being annoying or obnoxious. Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube all nail their roles, and while they aren’t very complex characters, they accomplish being exactly what they need to be for this film to work. Lord and Miller are turning out to be very cutting edge for the prevailing wave of lighthearted filmmaking, and I’m very happy to see how successful they’ve been.
