I fondly remember watching this with my grandfather as he was dying of cancer. This film will always hold a special place for me because it was just him and I watching it. He exclaimed “that was the bloodiest film I’ve ever seen” back in the late 90s when we saw it on VHS. We were in his cozy converted basement in the Midwest. Just the two of us. I miss my grandfather so much. He was the father I needed growing up; the father I need now.
Seeing this in theater today was a delight.
