• The Last Picture Show

    The Last Picture Show

I saw this on 35mm in theaters which was so special. I found this to be seriously impactful this time around, more than the first time, which I didn’t think could be topped. This is one of my favorite movies.

  • The Lure

    The Lure

This is very interesting to say the least. I never could have imagined all these elements blended into one film, and it works pretty well.

  • The Lego Batman Movie

    The Lego Batman Movie

I have now seen all theatrically released Batman movies. This one was pretty good I guess, I think I would have enjoyed it a lot as a kid.

  • Messiah of Evil

    We’re doomed

  • Slugs

Some of the nastiest practical effects I’ve seen, wicked stuff!

  • The Last of Sheila

    The Last of Sheila

The Last of Sheila is a movie I have wanted to see for a long time, I think I was always interested in the bizarre title and colorful poster. I’m so happy I finally got around to watching it because I enjoyed it a great deal. The first half of the film is about a mystery game and it’s a lot of fun, very light hearted. Around the half way mark is where it dives into more sinister territory, and…

  • Paper Moon

    Paper Moon

One of the most perfect movies, it’s pictures like this that make me love the cinema! I saw it in theaters too!! Best $8 I ever spent.

  • Mare of Easttown

    Mare of Easttown

This is an okay show. I enjoyed watching it, but the last two episodes really let me down. It got so diluted by the end and just ended up being really formulaic which was super lame. This is also some class A copaganda with Kate Winslet’s character really putting the Bastard in “All Cops Are Bastards”. That being said, the performances are great and the story is compelling for the most part. It was about a lot more than a murder.

  • Night Tide

    Night Tide

I really enjoyed this movie. It's about a sailor, takes place around a pier, and has a girl who may or may not be a mermaid in it. It's full of oceanic mysticism and has some pretty gnarly surrealistic scenes. I love anything and everything aquatic so to me, this was awesome. The narrative stumbles a little bit but there is such an atmosphere I can't much complain.

    I’m a nerd

  • Hollywood

I will say I was entertained throughout, some of these characters are super compelling! It’s also about Hollywood and movies so it’s easy for me to like it. That being said, this takes huge liberties. All of the politics behind this film are massive oversimplifications. The politics aren’t wrong per se, it’s just too idealistic. This show feels like it’s patting itself on the back, when in reality it did the bare minimum.
