Revisiting my favorite MCU hero’s adventures as his fourth movie is coming (Illumination marathon is still happening, give me a moment guys)
this and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri saved my life
So we got this late in theaters because if you read my location in my profile, I basically survived Hurricane Maria. I’m not doing into detail how brutal this was for me but it was a lot of heavy to deal with. However this and that brought me so much joy back into my life that you wouldn’t understand. If you went through a traumatic event, life or weather wise, you would feel the same way, but Ragnarok and Three Billboards were movies that brought me back to earth. I was without power or electricity, newspapers and radio were my only escape to real life fiascos, anyone who’s also from Puerto Rico and survived such pain and madness could relate. It could have been much worse for me, I’m not really that person who thinks suicidal thoughts and never have honestly, but if it wasn’t for those two movies, I may not even be back into my normal happy moviegoing mode. So yeah, I’m grateful for them I really do
Anyways, Ragnarok is top 5 in the MCU for me. Loads of fun, Thor is fun, Hela is an awesome villain and Cate Blanchett is phenomenal, Jeff Goldblum and Tessa Thompson are stellar too, and as the last funny movie in the MCU before everything goes to hell (Black Panther but that’s another story), it does a great job making itself a little lighter in aspects. Taika Watiti is officially god and I hope he knows that
I’m seeing Love and Thunder tomorrow 🥰🥰🥰🥰. Hoping it’s great
