Blake Johnston’s review published on Letterboxd:
This was hard to approach because I think Kingsman: The Golden Circle was absolutely horrendous, but I was thoroughly surprised how much I enjoyed and had fun with this prequel/sequel. WW1 is an extremely underutilized background in film and I think the combination of espionage without heavy technology and more conventional action is very creative way of making it more appealing for modern audiences. For someone on the rim of 60, Ralph Fiennes looks phenomenal and just really suited the lead, on top of Gemma Arterton and Djimon Honsou being really strong supporting roles, I really hope we can get a decent sequel, which is heavily hinted to be during WW2. Highly recommended.
