In my life, I’ve seen a lot of stories that show the same events from different perspectives. But I have never experienced one whose stunning third act revelation is that two lonely young boys were actually friends the whole time. An incredible film for creatures. The pelicans, the pelicans, the warawara, the big fish, that dang heron… All beautiful and unique in movement and personality. Also, grannies fit under the definition of “creatures” here, and I love them most of all.
