Before Midnight

Before Midnight ★★★★

I probably should have slept after the two first ones and watched this tomorrow, but here I am.
I don't want to say that this is the weakest of the tree but it sure gives out less "magic" than Sunrise and Sunset. It's less good but for the right reasons, we were not used to seeing this much problems between Jesse and Céline, at least not problems in their relationship, I guess I was just disappointed in them, they were a symbol of true love, thing a lot of people don't get to feel and seeing their love fade away was a little painful to watch. But that's what time does, even to dreamy couples like them, it's just what reality is, Jesse explains this reality better.

However if it doesn't really stay "true" to the two other and better films it doesn't mean it's not good, the acting is top, the dialogue is as always, clever and intersting and whenever Linklater wants to give us back that Sunrise and Sunset feeling he does it really well like in the walking to the hotel scene.

So yeah I watched the whole trilogy in one evening, and I really loved it. I didn't really like "Boyhood" or "Dazed and Confused" but this trilogy made me appreciate Linklater way more, the way he wrote, or co-wrote all the amazing conversation in this films is just something to be respected.
