That plot twist did not need to happen but I kinda love that it did happen cuz it was kinda funny and mindblowing at the same time.

You ever have those movies where you really anticipate them, for no apparent reason. And then you watch that movie and find it rather disappointing? Yeah this was that for me. From the Letterboxd plot and poster, I went into this thinking it was gonna be an intense family drama, a thriller almost. But it actually isn’t. The film is strangely sexual, it’s kinda odd actually. There’s like 3 or 4 different subplots going on, all revolving something related to…

My first Luca Guadagnino film and I can already get a feel of his films and this was lovely… while also being about fucking cannibals cuz yikes this movie was also kinda gross at parts. I wasn’t totally interested in some parts in the second act and I wasn’t a fan of how Mark Rylance’s character Sully would keep coming back into the story. Nothing against Mark Rylance and his performance, I just wished his character didn’t show up as…

Really tried to avoid all the trailers to this movie and I’m really glad I did cuz even if I did know the general idea, there are still a lot of surprises that were fun to see. The screenplay doesn’t really work 100% of the time, at least for me, but it was still an entertaining time. Really enjoyed Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy. One of Anya’s best movie looks honestly. Speaking of look, the production design was great and…

Don’t think I’m joining in on the joke or that this rating is ironic or anything like that. I genuinely like this movie a lot and think it’s super funny. My enjoyment is 100% unironic!

    “How do we address it?”
    “Uhh with cranberry sauce.”

“You familiar with Yoda? From Attack Of The Clones.” The fact that they referenced the worst Star Wars movie lmao

A little too much furry and abortion subtext for me to really love but 4Town was pretty fire so I can’t say I didn’t enjoy this as a whole.

I really enjoyed the more chill nature this movie has. It obviously deals with some serious topics but I like that there weren’t really any stakes or anything. Jenna Ortega gave her best performance I’ve seen from her, she really blows me away with everything I see her in. Maddie Ziegler was actually pretty good too. Would’ve liked a little more Shaliene Woodley but it’s all good. I can say tho, that scene where Jenna Ortega got high was pretty phenomenal.

Haven’t seen this in a couple years but this has always been top tier Disney for me. One of the most creative and fun movies maybe ever??? That might be a bit hyperbolic but that doesn’t change the fact that this movie is amazing. Great characters, the video game stuff is a lot of fun, the emotional beats hit hard, and King Candy is a really good villain. This rewatch really validated that for me. So yeah, great movie, sucks that the sequel was kinda awful.

One of the realest and most relatable films I’ve seen in recent memory. And it just might be the funniest film of the year. I just love Martin McDonagh’s sense of humor. And the whole cast was perfect. Colin Farrell, best actor ever!
