Due to this being one of my favorite films of all time and the fact that I thoroughly believe that the less you know about it, the better, I’ll keep this brief.

This movie is many things, but first and foremost, it is deep and slow moving. Burning is not the film for those who want clear and concise answers. Nor is it a action packed drama. Every line spoken, every shot shown, and single moment, serves a greater purpose. Nothing in this can be cut out. The writing is a masterclass and the cinematography is gorgeous. Even the score will have you on the edge of your seat.
