THIS. FILM. HAS STOLEN MY HEART AND RAN. It’s just so beautiful I’m sweating. A story of love; familial love and unrequited love. Of  working condition and the beauty of religion and it’s shortcomings as well. The most perfectly executed blend of humor and absolute devastation on film. I have such an emotional attachment to each of the characters already, but especially Beth Morgan. She’s my kind of girl. Intelligent, empathetic and SO DAMN FUNNY.

Thelma Ritter was right (as usual). As soon as Eve walked in, I got very anxious, which I think is testament to Anne Baxter's skill. It was her quiet voice and searching eyes that gave me the creeps.

dude I watched this in a state of total confusion okay goodbye.

Carole's fake tantrums are so relatable except with me they're actually real ones. No but this film was way ahead of it's time with mental health awareness. I said what I said.

Her perpetually furrowed eyebrows are cute! Like what a fashion statement.

Not sure how I feel about Bill Powell being the most sober one though. Drunkenness is kind of his forte.
