Wells recognizes memory as a spectre that lingers and morphs with time and as such this is the rare film that confronts, challenges, and reinforces the dichotomy of our own memories in a way that cuts irrevocably deep. and yet, as we bleed, it is a beautiful (dare i say rewarding) pain.
