Owen’s review published on Letterboxd:
Carax is truly one of the world’s most unique and fascinating filmmakers, with nearly every film of his i’ve seen delivering fascinating and profound examinations of the human condition under his breathtaking stylistic elements. Annette is certainly no exception. lots to love about it. on another note, really hope this film inspires more people to check out his previous works (particularly Mauvais Sang and The Lovers on the Bridge), because they are just as operatic and extraordinary. a sweeping, visionary cinematic achievement unlike anything else i’ve seen all year.
