Owen’s review published on Letterboxd:
Love means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Journeys through various stages of our relationships with others are never flawless, and as this film portrays, young love can be and generally is restless, chaotic, and without a sense of direction. Godard’s frequencies are certainly more aimless here but undeniably in their own fluid way. Chaos is natural to his sensibilities and his experimentalist landscape is in top form here. Watching this, I couldn’t help but feel that Terrence Malick‘s Song to Song was heavily inspired by this. A truly unique movie unlike any other in Godard’s filmography.
