an equally absorbing and restorative film as it is a paralyzingly haunting one. was lucky enough to see one of three 35mm prints of this in existence before it finished its run in Chicago and it truly felt like reaching out and touching a ghost. one of the rare cinematic experiences where the air you breathe is that of the film’s too. a staggering achievement.
