Cosmic Sentry’s review published on Letterboxd:
It feels like action films are a lost art. Sure, we get our "Fast and the Furious" and "Bourne" films, but in the 70's and 80's, action movies were at the top of their game.
Along comes The Nice Guys, the recent directorial effort from a very cool cat, Mr. Shane Black. The Nice Guys was an absolute blast. A good flow, great characters, and some brilliant action. The chemistry between Gosling and Crowe was surprisingly hilarious. The Nice Guys is the definition of a classic "buddy cop action/comedy", if I can even generalize that.
I've said it many a time before. The Nice Guys is what summer movies are all about, having a great time at the theater.
