  Some background:

  Synchromism was an early Visual Music art movement at the start of the 20th Century. Its thesis was to use colour in a similar way to how conductors would use notes in a composition. Colours and shapes are more representative of emotions and rhythms than anything tangible.

  This year, I decided to cease communication with my immediate family. The last few years, I've been learning what it is to feel loved and to feel deserving of love. I feel I've had to be my own parent for a lot of my life, but only recently am I giving myself the love I should have received. Finding love in my partner and friends has been so overwhelming. Being called a name as simple as "hun, sweetheart or baby"…

  Empathy radiating from every shot, every small movement. No heroics, just care. "Minding" as a form of love, understanding.

  Foster was a book that meant a lot to me as a teen, while still deathly in denial of the familial abuse/neglect I was in the throws of.

  A beautiful understanding of that pain on display here, something truly special. Perfect filmmaking. Feeling fragile.
