Perfect depiction of how far someone can get just by being in the right place, at the right time; as well as how quickly —and easily— he can fall back to where he once was if he isn’t wise.
No line is out of place, no scene feels useless, it’s all indispensable, purposeful, and expertly contributes to building up Redmond Barry Lyndon’s character.
