A languidly paced study of isolation and mortality.

Think a shorter take of The Irishman but this one is mostly unsentimental.Nicholson's gangster accent is fun to hear.I am suprised Jack did not do more films with Danny!

It's hard to believe that Bobby followed up roles in Awakenings and Goodfellas with this film! It's definitely an underrated performance in my book because it perfectly captures the mood of the nation and of Hollywood during the early 50s.The final court room set piece is one of the most thrilling back and forths in modern cinema.

A unique entry in John Sayles' filmography.Lovely music and cinematography. What I loved the most was the flashback plot of the "dark one".

  • The Five Venoms

    Dear Netflix,

Were you smoking marijuana when you decided to add this film to your platform with some of the most godawful subtitling I have seen in my life. Also why is there no dual audio option?

P.S - The action is decent but the plot is all over the place.

86 years later, the social stigma and prejudices of society still and will always feel relatable.A heartbreaking film with a memorable lead performance. How many promising youngsters are out there in this world who have been discarded for frivolous reasons?

  • Bad Company

Poster looks good. Music is perfect. Reminds one of classic noir films of the 40s.But still remains a passable watch.

This film hold it's trump card very closely and one by one starts peeling of it's layers. It may be languidly paced but it tackles a tricky albeit important subject manner in a devastating manner.A more crucial question which needs answering is;will males ever stop being entitled assholes?

A difficult watch but does have it's moments now and then.If you ask me this play could have done without the characters of Harry and Edna; since they don't add much to the overall outcome!

I am not at all surprised Tom Cruise was the first choice for this film. Angelina Jolie whoops male butts all over the place and looks 👌👌👌 as a brunette but I am not sure what this movie is trying to say in the first place; that the Russians and Americans will always see other as enemies in reel as well as in real life? The level of incompetence of majority of the characters made me go 🤦.

P.S -Even Blind Fury was more entertaining than this drivel!
