many of this kind of romantic comedies, that add a little drama, lose their shape and end up not being either comedy or drama. this is not the case for silver linings playbook. it's comedy moments are undeniably good, but the movie finds itself in the irony of portraing a not-at-all funny life situation of the main characters.
